Job Title: Licensed Psychologist

Location: Ramseur, NC

Pay Range: $30-50/hr

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Psychologist to join our mental health care team in NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing psychological assessments, therapy, and treatment for individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the well-being of patients while working in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for individuals, couples, and families to diagnose mental health conditions, cognitive issues, and emotional challenges.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to clients, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, or others.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and client needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress through ongoing therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in urgent need, including making appropriate referrals for higher levels of care when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation of sessions, progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
  • Stay current on best practices, new developments in the field, and relevant continuing education.
  • Provide consultation services to schools, families, and community organizations as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, supervision sessions, and team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Psychologist in North Carolina (LP, LP-P, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially regarding patient records and documentation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and practices in psychology.
  • Experience working with specific populations (e.g., children, adults, couples, or families) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical, private practice, or community mental health setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions for specific conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, etc.).
  • Experience working with clients with complex or co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and measures, such as the MMPI, WAIS, or others.
