Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a SESES psychologist to support students across elementary, middle, and high programs. The role partners with social workers to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including crisis intervention and counseling.

Responsibilities include assessments, team participation (IEP/504), data-driven interventions, and parent support within MCPS schools and community resources.

Qualifications

• Meets Maryland certification requirements for School Psychologist.
• NCSP preferred.
• Masters or Doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited program.
• Experience collaborating with educators and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions and instructional supports to develop students' academic, social, emotional, and life skills.
• Deliver direct and indirect psychological services and consult with families, schools, and professionals.
• Participate on problem-solving teams including 504, IEP, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
• Conduct psychological assessments for educational purposes.
• Provide preventive and responsive counseling for students.
