Job summary

Lake Forest School District is seeking a School Psychologist to provide direct and indirect services for students, families, and schools. The role includes evaluations, counseling, prevention, and collaboration to promote learning and mental health across the district.

The position reports to the Special Programs Supervisor, requires DE certification and NASP NCSP, and follows the Lake Forest 188-day teacher salary scale. Evening availability may be needed for crisis-related discussions.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a School Psychologist by the State of Delaware Department of Education.
• Master’s Degree or other Department of Education approved equivalent per Regulation 1583.
• Valid NCSP certificate from NASP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations.
• Complete written evaluations for individual students per state/federal regulations.
• Develop and monitor behavior interventions plans with teams.
• Administer and interpret psychological measures of intelligence, personality, behavior, achievement, and adaptive functioning.
• Provide crisis response and intervention services when needed.
• Maintain case records for all referred students.
• Attend staff and interagency meetings and assist with in-service training of school personnel.
