Job description

Caverna Independent School District is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year to serve students in preschool through grade 14. This position is ideal for a candidate who prefers a comprehensive model of school psychology practice, as the role includes manageable evaluation caseloads with opportunities to focus on psychoeducational assessment, counseling, consultation with school teams, family and community engagement, participation in MTSS processes, and support for diverse student populations including English Learners. The school psychologist will collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs while assisting schools in implementing effective interventions and maintaining compliance with IDEA and Kentucky Administrative Regulations.

Caverna Independent Schools offers a very competitive salary schedule, a $2,500 administrative stipend, and 15 extended contract days. Well-suited applicants will demonstrate strong self-management, organization, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills. Applicants must hold Kentucky certification as a School Psychologist or hold Provisional Certification as a School Psychologist Intern for the 2026–2027 school year. This position will facilitate guidance lessons in utilizing social/emotional curriculum and programming, will service students on an “as needed” basis, and may facilitate group counseling sessions.
