Job summary

Independent School District 196’s Westview Elementary School is seeking a licensed School Psychologist for a 1.0 FTE position. You will administer and interpret cognitive, social-emotional, and adaptive measures, and report findings to families and professionals.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, implement MTSS-aligned interventions, provide staff training, and support equitable practices district-wide.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in School Psychology.
  • Licensed or Eligible for licensure as a School Psychologist in Minnesota.
  • Experience with diverse cultures, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate well in writing and speaking.
  • Experience in school settings or with ages birth–21.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive behavior, and other norm-referenced instruments and report findings to parents, students, and professionals.
  • Perform informal assessments and interviews to support formal results.
  • Participate on a multidisciplinary team to identify students with disabilities birth–21, including EL students.
  • Provide consultation to staff and parents to improve behavior and academics via interventions and classroom strategies.
  • Collaborate to develop MTSS-aligned interventions and analyze data.
  • Support culturally responsive practices to promote equitable outcomes for all students.
  • Lead trainings on problem solving, data collection, cultural competence, mental health, and positive behavioral support.
  • Assist with due process, eligibility, and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to district projects requiring consultation or direct psychology services.
  • Travel district-wide and adapt to changing environments with a positive problem-solving approach.
