Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in School or Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
• Arizona Department of Education School Psychologist certificate or current license from AZ Board of Psychological Examiners.
• Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Participates in prescreening processes as needed.
• Conducts evaluations as determined by MET.
• Presides over MET meetings as subject area expert at assigned site.
• Acts as LEA representative at METs, IEPs and related meetings.
• Completes evaluation components within 60 days of permission to evaluate.
• Participates in IEP meetings to advise on goals and accommodations.
• Maintains required special education records and reports.
• Consults with staff, parents, and others involved in the special education process.
• Presides over manifestation determination, FBAs, and BIPs meetings.
• Serves as consultant on school psychology issues/needs.
• Assists in Section 504 Plan development.
• Provides emergency psychological support during crises.
