Zusammenfassung

Avondale Elementary School District is seeking a Bilingual Psychologist Evaluator to participate in the evaluation process for eligibility, continuing eligibility, lack of eligibility, and special needs determinations for students referred to special education.

The role requires a Master's or higher in School/Clinical Psychology and current AZ School Psychologist certificate or AZ Board license, plus fingerprint clearance and background checks.

Qualifikationen

• Master's Degree or higher in School or Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
• Current AZ Department of Education School Psychologist certificate or AZ Board of Psychological Examiners license.
• Must possess valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card upon employment.
• Must be able to pass a background clearance upon employment.

Aufgaben

• Participates in prescreening as needed and requested.
• Conducts evaluations per MET decisions.
• Presides over MET meetings as subject-area expert at assigned school sites.
• Acts as LEA representative at METs, IEPs, and other meetings unless another admin assumes role.
• Completes evaluation components and holds MET meeting within 60 days of permission to evaluate.
• Participates in IEP meetings to provide recommendations and information for goals and accommodations.
• Completes and maintains special education records per laws and supervisor guidelines.
• Consults with site/district staff, parents, and others involved in the special education process.
• Presides over manifestation determination, FBAs, and BIPs meetings.
• Acts as consultant to students, parents, and staff on psychological issues/needs.
• Assists in development of Section 504 Plans as needed.
• Provides emergency psychological support during school crises.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
