Job summary

Birch Agency in Michigan is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a school district in Fenton. This full-time, in-person role focuses on supporting student success through psychoeducational assessments, collaboration with educators and families, and comprehensive evaluation reporting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive school climate and student mental health, participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, and help develop interventions.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or licensure required.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing evaluation reports.
• Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills.
• Previous school-based experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students referred for special education services.
• Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, social, and emotional interventions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and student support strategies.
