Job summary

AMN Healthcare partners with a Houston school district to hire a School Psychologist providing counseling, assessments, and IEP/504 planning for students. The role focuses on supporting emotional and behavioral needs and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing plans, and coordinating with outside agencies and clinicians. Nine-month assignments with comprehensive benefits are offered to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology is required.
• State certification/licensure is required to start the assignment.
• Experience in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to students on IEPs and 504 plans and to general student population.
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify needs and strengths.
• Develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans; coordinate with teachers and families.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed.
• Coordinate outreach with pediatricians and community agencies.
