Job summary

Middlesex County STEM Charter School seeks a School Psychologist to support evaluation, placement, and planning for students with special needs. The role includes administering tests, interpreting results, and coordinating IEPs with school teams.

Responsibilities include case management, classroom observation, parent and staff collaboration, and ongoing professional development to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and valid NJ certification required.
• Experience evaluating and placing pupils with special needs.
• Ability to interpret testing results and contribute to IEP development.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and staff.
• Knowledge of state and federal education laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in evaluation, classification and placement of pupils with special needs.
• Administer, score and interpret psychological tests for educational planning.
• Develop and coordinate appropriate individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Serve as case manager and maintain case records.
• Observe pupils in classrooms and advise on services.
• Consult with parents, staff and community on child development and mental health.
• Contribute to ongoing team activities of the child study team.
• Maintain professional records and adhere to policy standards.
