Job summary

Speed S is seeking a School Psychologist (Grades K-12) to assist students, teachers, and parents in maximizing educational outcomes by promoting positive self-esteem and resilience.

The role includes conducting assessments, providing therapy, collaborating with PPT teams, and staying current with professional developments. Certification and licensing as a School Psychologist are required, with a focus on student growth and collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child psychology principles, assessments, behavior modification, and current developments in child psychology.
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
• Knowledge of data information systems and analysis for action planning.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
• Ability to use computer networks and software applications as needed.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation for performance and growth.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychological assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations to maximize learning outcomes.
• Provides individual, group or facilitative therapy for students who would benefit from behavior modification.
• Identifies and places all types of exceptional students.
• Coordinates with administrators and staff to assess students' abilities and needs.
