Job summary

Licking Heights Local Schools are seeking a School Psychologist to provide psycho-educational evaluations and consult with parents, staff and administrators about behavior and learning concerns. The role focuses on supporting students with disabilities and contributing to IEP planning and supports.

Responsibilities include evaluations, reports, counseling, collaboration with teachers, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice School Psychology in Ohio.
• Educational Specialist (Ed.S) in School Psychology preferred.
• Maintains credentials per Ohio DOE.
• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of students.
• Provide psycho-educational evaluations for students identified or suspected of an educational disability.
• Coordinate the written evaluation report.
• Provide results of psycho-educational evaluations for IEP development.
• Consult with teachers, parents and staff on education and mental health of students with disabilities.
• Counsel students individually and in groups related to their educational disability.
• Maintain student records and documentation.
• Develop Functional Behavior Assessments and assist with Behavior Improvement Plans.
• Schedule meetings with parents as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of evaluation results and reports.
