About The Role

We are seeking a passionate, experienced full-time School Psychologist for the 2025-26 school year. As part of the School's clinical team, the School Psychologist provides direct support and interventions to students. The School Psychologist applies expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Within a dual-accredited school, the position is a unique professional opportunity to support a deep integration of clinical expertise and serious academics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Direct intervention and counseling to students on demand and in crisis situations.
  • Meet and facilitate conversations and planning with parents, teachers, and outpatient teams to discuss learning, behavioral, familial, and social challenges.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate, accurate student records.
  • Participate in admissions decisions through application reviews and interviews.
  • Develop, present, and implement prevention, intervention, and psycho-educational programs and workshops for Stevenson staff.
  • Participate in externally based student-planning meetings (e.g., CSE)
  • Facilitate weekly therapeutic student groups.
  • Supervise and provide constant feedback to Psychology interns.
  • Other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to the dual focus of academic engagement and emotional support, as outlined in Stevenson's educational philosophy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding clinical intervention, consultation, and assessment skills.
  • Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology required.
  • Must have a New York License.
  • Clinical experience with adolescents required, including use of evidence-based interventions.
  • Experience collaborating with schools required.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information and records.
  • Humor, patience, poise, and an ability to purposefully balance structure and flexibility.

Salary: Annual salary range of $85,000-120,000.
