Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist to provide case consultation and facilitate psycho-educational evaluations across multiple school sites in the district.

Responsibilities include leading evaluation teams, analyzing cognitive, academic, and adaptive data, and advising on program needs for students transferring into the district. Strong collaboration and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Initial or Continuing Certification in School Psychology.
• Training and experience in the administration of cognitive, academic, adjustment, and adaptive evaluation instruments.
• Training and experience in the interpretation of cognitive, academic, adjustment, and adaptive evaluation results.
• Successful experience leading building based problem solving and evaluation teams.

Responsibilities

• Psychological evaluation using instruments with which psychologists are trained.
• Lead and facilitate special education evaluations and reevaluations.
• Advise on program needs for students transferring into the district.
• Consult with district staff and other professionals on psycho-educational issues impacting students.
• Assist with placement decisions for special needs students.
• Compile evaluation documentation and data; coordinate transportation as needed.
