Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a School Psychologist to collaborate with teachers, families, and admins to support students' academic and emotional well-being in Nevada.

You will conduct psychoeducational evaluations, assist with eligibility determinations, implement behavioral interventions, provide counseling, and participate in MDT meetings, with a focus on confidentiality and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited program.
  • Current or eligible School Psychologist licensure/certification in Nevada.
  • Strong foundation in psychoeducational assessments, special education processes, and evidence-based behavioral interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and build connections with students, staff, and families.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment findings.
  • Participate in eligibility determinations and special education processes in compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavioral and social-emotional interventions tailored to student needs.
  • Provide individual and small group counseling as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and special education professionals to address academic and behavioral challenges.
  • Support intervention planning through Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential records and adhere to professional and legal standards.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.
