Student Success Coordinator at Golf Middle School/District 67

This School Psychologist will be at Golf Middle School.

The School Psychologist provides support for the schools, its teachers, and students.

Emphasis is on collaboratively utilizing the problem-solving process to promote student learning and growth. The School Psychologist is a member of the grade-level problem-solving teams, school data team, and student support team. The School Psychologist functions as the District LEA, 504 Coordinator, and High School Liaison.

Performs duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.

The ideal School Psychologist candidate demonstrates:

  1. Knowledge and skill in data-based decision making and problem solving for evaluation/assessment purposes.
  2. Knowledge of research design, statistics, measurement, varied data collection and analysis techniques, and program evaluation to understand research and interpret data.
  3. Knowledge of child and adolescent development and/or disabilities, diverse learner characteristics to establish goals for student programming.
  4. Knowledge of state and federal regulations, professional ethics, social responsibility, and resources within and beyond the school and district.
  5. Knowledge of evidence-based strategies to develop academic skills, social skills, and life skills.
  6. Ability to promote positive behavior and social-emotional skills among students across educational settings.
  7. Provides leadership for prevention, intervention, collaboration, consultation, and assessment.
  8. Effective communication with parents, staff, and administrators.
  9. Strong collaboration skills with colleagues.
  10. Maintains accurate data management systems and records.
  11. Knowledge of the problem-solving process and ability to lead implementation.
  12. Knowledge of assessment systems.
  13. Collaboration with staff and administration around MTSS programming.
  14. Engagement of staff in learning through clear communication, questioning, differentiated activities, and relevant materials.
  15. Leadership in parent engagement in MTSS.
  16. Maintenance of accurate MTSS resource systems.
  17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders.
  18. Integrity, leadership, and professionalism.
