Job summary

Otsego Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team. Immediate start possible with Fall 2027 as an alternate date, and the closing date is listed as until filled.

The selected candidate will evaluate students, facilitate SAT meetings, and provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for students in countywide programs. Requirements include a Master’s degree, MI MDE approval, and certification as a School Psychologist (preliminary or MI).

Qualifications

• Preliminary School Psychologist Certification OR Michigan Certification.
• Some experience working in schools strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students referred for Special Education and present evaluation reports.

• Provide comprehensive evaluations for 0–25-year-olds in county programs.
• Administer evaluations in accordance with state and federal laws and our policies.

Otsego Public Schools’ staff is the heart of the district, and we are seeking a School Psychologist to add to our team.

Requirements

• Master’s degree required.
• MDE approval as a School Psychologist in Michigan
• • Preliminary School Psychologist Certification OR
  • Michigan Certification as a School Psychologist
• Some experience working in schools strongly preferred.

Duties / Responsibilities (non exhaustive list):

• Evaluate students referred as potential candidates for Special Education services and programs and present a report on students evaluated. Tests may include intelligence, achievement, functional, and perceptual motor.
• Facilitate Student Assistance Team (SAT) meetings and maintain records. Provide input to SAT team on intervention strategies.
• Provide comprehensive evaluations to students 0-25 in countywide programs as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
• Administration of comprehensive evaluations as required by the State and Federal laws and our organization.
