Job summary

Otsego Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team. The position requires a Master’s degree, MDE approval or Michigan certification, and preferably prior school experience.

The role involves evaluating students for Special Education, leading SAT meetings, and conducting comprehensive assessments under state and federal guidelines. The candidate will collaborate with the Director of Special Education and school staff to ensure timely and accurate evaluations and intervention

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• MDE approval as a School Psychologist in Michigan.
• Preliminary School Psychologist Certification OR Michigan Certification as a School Psychologist.
• Some experience working in schools strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students referred for Special Education services and present a report on evaluations including intelligence, achievement, functional and perceptual-motor tests.
• Facilitate SAT meetings and maintain records; provide input on intervention strategies.
• Provide comprehensive evaluations to students 0-25 in countywide programs as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
• Administer comprehensive evaluations as required by State and Federal laws and our organization.

Duties / Responsibilities (non exhaustive list):

• Evaluate students referred as potential candidates for Special Education services and programs and present a report on students evaluated. Tests may include intelligence, achievement, functional, and perceptual motor.
• Facilitate Student Assistance Team (SAT) meetings and maintain records. Provide input to SAT team on intervention strategies.
• Provide comprehensive evaluations to students 0-25 in countywide programs as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
