About the Role:
Join BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. as a School Psychologist and make a difference in the lives of children in Chicago. In this fulfilling role, you'll provide essential psychological services in a supportive and collaborative environment, helping students achieve their full potential. The school psychologist assists students by screening for early intervention and identification as well as administering diagnostic and curriculum –based assessments as a member of the problem solving team. Psychologists also provide crisis intervention as well as individual and group intervention services supporting mental health issues for students, school personnel and community/family.
Location: Chicagoland, near Richton Park, IL (This hybrid school psychology position requires on-site services 1-3 days per week, with the remaining duties performed virtually).
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.
Provide counseling and support services to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Consult with teachers and staff on strategies to support student learning and well-being.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions for parents and educators.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
Stay current with best practices in school psychology and special education.
Requirements:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Valid Illinois School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure.
Applicants must also hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an Endorsement in School Psychology. (Note: Certificate(s) must show a current registration date.)
Experience working in educational settings, preferably with children and adolescents.
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
