Qualifications

  • South Carolina School Psychologist credential/license required or eligible.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple school sites.
  • Knowledge of special education evaluation procedures, IEP processes, and educational interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations and assessments.
  • Support eligibility determinations and special education evaluations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and IEP teams.
  • Develop recommendations based on assessment results and student needs.
  • Provide consultation and support related to students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.
  • Assist with development and implementation of appropriate interventions and behavioral supports.
  • Monitor student progress and provide recommendations to support educational success.
  • Maintain accurate evaluation reports, documentation, and student records.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, team meetings, and professional development.
  • Ensure services and documentation remain compliant with applicable state and federal requirements.

Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to support students in the Camden, South Carolina area. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity serving two school sites. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs. The district is also seeking coverage for a maternity leave from October through late January 2027, providing an additional opportunity for a qualified School Psychologist. Please note: This district is only considering in-person candidates and is no longer offering hybrid or fully remote contracts.

Key Responsibilities
