Qualifications

• Certified Tier 1 Indiana law enforcement officer or ability to obtain certification.
• Minimum of two years of sworn law enforcement experience (US Military, SOF, and federal experience counts).
• Completion of Indiana SRO training or ability to complete within required timeline.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality per FERPA and other laws.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Drug-free and willing to participate in random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional law enforcement presence on assigned campuses.
• Enforce state laws, local ordinances, and district regulations.
• Respond to emergencies, threats, and criminal activity on school property.
• Conduct investigations and support safety plans and drills.
• Collaborate with school leadership and external agencies on safety initiatives.
• Prepare timely reports and maintain case files.
