Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Physical Therapist (PT) in North Highlands, CA for a travel assignment in a school setting. The PT will evaluate students and provide and document therapy services per individualized plans and physician orders when applicable.

The role requires current PT licensure in California, a degree from an accredited PT program, and compliance with professional standards. Prior PT experience is preferred; CPR, health certificate, and regulatory checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform student evaluations and document therapy services.
• Provide therapy services in accordance with plan of care.
• Follow physician orders when applicable.

The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing student evaluations, as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with plan of care developed for each student and per physician's orders when applicable.
