Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a dedicated paraprofessional to support students and educators in our district. You will assist with lesson activities, provide targeted support, and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Collaborating with teachers and specialists, you will implement instructional plans, monitor progress, and assist with IEPs and administrative tasks, all while fostering positive relationships with students and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum 30 college credits from an accredited college or university.
• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Monitor student progress and behavior and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Support students with special needs and IEPs.
• Assist with classroom management and discipline.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by teachers.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff on IEPs.
• Perform clerical tasks such as grading papers and keeping student records.
• Participate in professional development to enhance skills.
