Job summary

SMASE is seeking paraprofessionals to support students with disabilities in Staunton CUSD 6 and Mt. Olive CUSD 5. Paraprofessionals assist teachers, supervise students, and help with instructional activities.

Starting at $16.50 per hour with a $100 monthly stipend, plus a $500 attendance bonus if you use 3 or fewer paid time off days in a year. 12 paid sick days and 4 paid personal days, plus 5 paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain a clean background check for short term approval.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas.
• Assist teachers with instruction and learning activities.
• Prepare and organize materials for lessons.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school staff.
