Job summary

Middletown Township Public Schools is seeking qualified paraprofessionals to support middle and high school students, with the potential to assist adult transition programs. Responsibilities include assisting instructors, collecting data, and supporting behavior plans while providing essential daily care as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 48 college credits or Paraprofessional Praxis test required.
BS/BA degree preferred.
NJ Teaching Certificate preferred.
Paraprofessionals who were hired and have been continuously employed with MTPS as of June 2005 and passed the in-district paraprofessional assessment are not required to meet the qualifications above.

Responsibilities

Assists teacher in the delivery of effective instructional program.
Record and/or collect data under the direction of the teacher.
C/D Rate assignments: Monitor and implement a student's Behavior Intervention Plan / Address behavior as required.
C Rate assignments: Assist with physical care of students, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering.
