Job summary

Northampton Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator at Northampton High School in Northampton, MA. The position is 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with hourly pay ranging from $24.92 to $31.44 based on experience.

Start date is immediate for the 2026-2027 school year. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and an Associate’s degree or ParaPro certificate or 48 college credits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional staff with classroom management and materials.
• Support individual and small groups of students in instruction and social settings.
• Assist students with personal care and daily living skills.
• Provide general supervision of students within and outside the school building.
• Perform clerical duties related to assignment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Assist in transferring students within the school environment.
