Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology or equivalent required.
• Extensive knowledge of First Nations community and culture expected.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an active member of Student Support Services and NESD team.
• Respond to student needs per NESD RtI service delivery model.
• Provide liaison services between families and schools with home visits.
• Assist students with listening, guidance, referrals to counselling or outside agencies.
• Support students in discussing issues with school personnel; collaborate with teams.
• Coordinate nutrition programs and partner with community/human services as needed.
