Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking skilled Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants with school-based experience for a full-time, itinerant role across multiple campuses during the full school year.

You will deliver in-person OT services, collaborate with educators, participate in IEP planning, and document progress to support students with mild to severe needs. Travel between sites is required, with benefits including health coverage, housing, and meals.

Qualifications

• Valid OT or COTA license in California.
• Experience in a school-based setting (required for COTAs).
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation.
• Ability to manage caseloads with travel across sites.
• Comfortable working with diverse needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to providing services strictly in-person (no virtual direct services).

Responsibilities

• In-person assessment, planning, and implementation of OT interventions.
• Collaboration with educators and school teams.
• Regular progress monitoring and reporting.
• Participation in IEP meetings and goal development.
• Providing guidance and oversight (for OTs supervising COTAs).
• Adapting approach to meet unique student needs at different campuses.
