Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate services to exceptional students according to the multidisciplinary evaluation results and the IEP.
• Assist in the evaluation of students suspected of being exceptional according to Bulletin 1508.
• Participate in IEP committee meetings and annual reviews of IEPs for students being served.
• Provide treatment according to IEP goals.
• Obtain orders from the student’s physician prior to providing services.
• Participate in special education eligibility determinations and IEP meetings.
• Provide in-service training for school personnel and parents on topics within expertise.
• Supervise the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant per Board guidelines and district policy.
• Follow the approved schedule as written and approved by authorities.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records including treatment, progress notes, attendance, and lesson plans.
• Complete all required evaluation reports within timelines and regulations.
• Attend professional meetings and stay abreast of current trends, techniques, and regulations.
