Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks an Occupational Therapist for a contract position serving students near Methuen, MA. You will work closely with educators, families, and students to deliver individualized therapy that supports learning and participation.

You'll focus on promoting growth, independence, and success in the classroom and beyond, aligning with IEP goals, collaborating across teams, and adapting interventions to diverse student needs in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state OT licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• School-based OT experience preferred; new grads with fieldwork welcome.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with students, teachers and families.
• Ability to tailor interventions to diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services to students as outlined in IEPs.
• Conduct assessments to identify needs and create intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and teams to maximize student participation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, plans, and progress.
• Provide guidance and resources to staff and families on motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and adaptive functioning.
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed.
• Stay current with best practices and continuing education in school-based OT.
