BrightBee is seeking a front office manager to support local schools and nonprofits. You will assist visitors, parents, and community members across Brooklyn-area sites, using the BrightBee app to claim assignments and navigate varied shift types.
This is an independent contractor role with no traditional employment constraints. Expect five days of full school-day shifts (7a-4p) at Brooklyn sites, with the potential for work at multiple addresses.

As a BrightBee front office manager, you’ll support local schools —supporting visitors, parents, and community members as directed by each school site. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is. BrightBee recruits candidates (that’s you!) to support local schools and nonprofits. You will use our BrightBee app to claim assignments at schools/non-profits in your area and get paid a week later. Our goal is simple: help schools succeed and give workers the tools they need to grow in their careers.

A hive is a geographical region of multiple school districts and sites that you (as a Bee) will be able to claim assignments at. These assignments could be as short as a single day or as long as multiple week/months. You should be willing/able to commute to various school sites in the Brooklyn area to be considered.

PLEASE NOTE: Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training. The average cost of completing clearance in New York for student support is between $200-250.

Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers.. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

$21 - $27 an hour
Hourly range is $21-27 (including milestone bonuses based on number of assignments worked and can increase based on demand)
