The role covers five classrooms across three schools, totaling 22.5 hours weekly of direct services. You will develop individualized plans with educators, maintain progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings while traveling between buildings as needed.

Qualifications

Job description

Make an impact working with students in specialized elementary Autism program classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time contract opportunity, beginning as soon as possible through June 2027, is located near Willimantic, CT, and requires either one Occupational Therapist (OT) or two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide direct services. With 22.5 hours per week, you will collaborate with dedicated teams across five classrooms within three schools, supporting approximately 50 students with diverse needs.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Current OT or COTA licensure (or eligibility) for the state of Connecticut
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, particularly with Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Ability to adapt interventions for varied student needs and learning styles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Reliability and professional integrity in all interactions and documentation
