Job summary

Socket.dev in Grayslake, IL is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide FMLA coverage in a high school/specialized program. This role offers 35 hours per week onsite with a pay rate of $48–$60 per hour.

You will address sensory processing, fine motor, and self-regulation needs while collaborating with teachers, families, and service providers to support meaningful IEP outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist License through IDFPR required.
• Experience supporting students with autism and significant sensory or communication needs preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with developmental and functional needs.
• Support sensory processing, fine motor, visual-motor, self-regulation, and functional skills.
• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized intervention recommendations.
• Develop and support OT-related IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Support students within structured and individualized educational environments.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress.
