Job summary

ProCare Therapy invites a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our onsite maternity leave coverage in Illinois, supporting elementary school students within a dynamic educational setting.

In this temporary role, you will deliver OT services aligned with IEP goals, collaborate with special education teams, and support students with autism in both general and self-contained environments. The posting indicates a generous hourly compensation and a 60-day posting window.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification by the Board of Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association or eligibility to obtain it.
• State of Illinois Occupational Therapist License or eligibility required.
• Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or special education settings is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services in alignment with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Collaborate closely with special education teams and classroom staff to foster student growth, engagement, and participation in both general and self-contained environments.
• Support the functional skills development of students in self-contained autism programs.
• Provide ongoing communication with educators and support staff.
• Document student progress and actively participate in team meetings to optimize outcomes.
