Job summary

Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a school-based, full-time W2 assignment in the Downtown Chicago area for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on elementary and middle school students, with on-site, in-person support and collaboration with school staff.

The OT will evaluate, plan, and deliver services aligned with IEP goals, address fine motor and sensory processing needs, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure student access to

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active IL Occupational Therapist license (IDFPR).
• NBCOT certification preferred or required based on state requirements.
• School-based pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience with IEP development, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to determine functional performance and eligibility for occupational therapy services.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Address fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, handwriting, and functional school participation skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom accommodations, and assistive technology when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
• Monitor student progress and modify intervention strategies as appropriate.
• Support students in accessing the educational environment and curriculum.
