Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand 3-6 hours on a hard surface.
• Experience in institutional or school food service is helpful.
• Serve Safe certification must be completed within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Comply with production, preparation, and service instructions for food.
• Account for meals and sales according to standards.
• Assist with clean-up of kitchen, serving area, cafeteria and dishroom.
• Handle food safely in accordance with safety standards.
• Operate computerized point of sale to process meals and transactions.
• Work efficiently and cooperate with other staff.
• Attend job-related training sessions and workshops.
• Interact with students in a positive and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
