Job summary

Troy Independent School District is seeking a School Nutrition Worker to prepare and serve meals in accordance with menu requirements. You will help ensure meals are well balanced, nutritious, appetizing, and produced with high standards of sanitation and safety.

Responsibilities include following food safety standards, reading and applying written instructions, and working harmoniously with teachers, staff, and students. Experience in school nutrition is preferred; training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and follow written instructions (food prep).
• Able to work around children in a school environment.
• Experience in school nutrition preferred.

Is supervised by and responsible to the campus Child Nutrition Manager and to the School Nutrition Director.

Summary

Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements that is well balanced, nutritious and is an appetizing meal. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.

• School Nutrition experience is preferred
