Under the Business Manager, you will manage budgets, menus, and procurement, while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines. This full-time role requires strong organizational and supervisory skills in a school kitchen setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience running a kitchen or a food service program.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Must hold and maintain ServSafe certifications (Manager/Protection/Certificate).
• Preferred: degree in nutrition or food sciences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and implementation of the school lunch and breakfast programs.
• Prepare and administer the departmental budget.
• Purchase and maintain inventory of foods, supplies, and equipment.
• Standardize cafeteria accounting procedures with the district office.
• Plan menus for school meals and special dinners.
• Supervise preparation and serving of meals at all schools.
• Ensure compliance with federal guidelines in meal preparation.
• Supervise and train food service staff.
