Job summary

Montgomery Public-Schools is seeking a Child Nutrition Program Worker I to prepare, serve, and distribute meals to students and staff in a school setting, ensuring safe, sanitary, and compliant operations according to CACFP and USDA standards. Eight-hour shifts on a nine-month schedule, with salary determined by the Superintendent and Board.

Requires completion of the ninth grade; one year of food service experience preferred.

• One year of experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safe, efficient, and high quality food services for students, staff, and others.
• Prepares, serves, and distributes food and beverages according to kitchen procedures.
• Ensures timely preparation and distribution for after-school activities.
• Follows USDA standards and CACFP, and other federal/state regulations.
• Keeps food preparation, service, and storage areas sanitary and organized.
• Operates and maintains food service equipment and reports issues to supervisor.
• Stocks and stores USDA commodities and related items.
• May serve as cashier and balance cash registers when assigned.
• May prepare meals for school events as needed.
• Participates in trainings and professional development.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
