Job summary

Independent School District 196 in Rosemount, MN is seeking a Nutrition Services Associate to support daily breakfast and lunch service during the school day.

You will follow the food service manager's instructions, assist with meal production, and operate the POS system to process student transactions. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic arithmetic and writing skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in institutional food service operations helpful.
• Serve Safe course completion and exam within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the food service manager's instructions on production, preparation, and service of food.
• Comply with department standards to account for meals (reimbursement and ala carte).
• Comply with food service manager's instruction on clean-up of kitchen, serving area, cafeteria and dishroom.
• Follow safety standards in handling, preparation, storing and serving food.
• Operate the POS system to process student transactions during breakfast and lunch lines.
• Work efficiently and cooperatively with other staff members.
• Attend job-related trainings and workshops.
• Interact with students in a positive and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
