Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a Nutrition Services employee at Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion Elementary School to support meal prep and service. Shift runs 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

The role includes cashier duties, inventory, and assisting students, with a ServSafe certification required within six months. This non-exempt position belongs to the Nutrition Services SEIU bargaining unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• ServSafe certification within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of commercial food service equipment.
• Ability to operate computer/cash registers.
• Ability to attend work regularly and report to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to the planned menu and operate ovens as needed.
• Maintain daily records of food production and inventory.
• Set up school meals and provide supplies for menu items.
• Serve as cashier for student and staff lunches and assist with cashier technology.
• Assist students with meal options and special needs as required.
• Clean kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
