Job summary

SUGAR CREEK CHARTER SCHOOL INC is seeking a 7-hour school kitchen worker to support the child nutrition program on site. Responsibilities include meal preparation, serving, sanitation, and equipment operation in accordance with recipes and HACCP guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of commercial food prep experience; ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months is preferred. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math and read and follow recipe directions.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up meals for serving to students.
• Cook and assist in preparation of a variety of foods following HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas; operate and clean kitchen equipment.
• Assist with inventory and ordering as needed.
• Follow directions from the nutrition supervisor and managers.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
