Job summary

DeKalb County School District seeks an experienced Supervisor I, Manager Trainer to lead the School Nutrition Services department. You will develop and implement training programs, supervise staff, and oversee budgeting and record-keeping to ensure compliant, high-quality nutrition services.

The role focuses on improving program performance and participation by adhering to local, state, and federal regulations while guiding staff through comprehensive training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 6 years of supervisory/related experience.
• ServeSafe Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment and renewed every five years.
• Experience in developing and implementing training programs for school nutrition staff.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations governing school nutrition programs.
• Ability to assist with budgeting, bookkeeping, and records maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise to the department and oversees School Nutrition operations district-wide.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates nutrition education and training programs for staff.
• Supervises and trains food service managers and staff; maintains employee training records.
• Oversees budget management and financial record-keeping for the department.
• Contributes to policy development and department-wide training curricula.
