Job summary

Mandan Public School District is seeking a Full-Time Nutrition Services Supervisor for the 2026/2027 school year. The role oversees satellite and prep kitchens, with hours 6:30 am to 1:15 pm and a 33.75-hour workweek, following the school calendar.

The position requires leadership, food safety knowledge, and the ability to train staff while ensuring quality meals and compliance with USDA standards. A valid North Dakota driver’s license and nutrition certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent and three years of institutional food service experience.
• Experience in school nutrition programs preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff at a district satellite kitchen or prep kitchen in the absence of the Nutrition Services Manager.
• Manage kitchen operations, food storage, production records, and staff training.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state and MPS quality standards.
• Estimate food quantities and place orders for needed supplies.
• Ensure proper serving sizes and meal requirements per USDA.
• Maintain records and report on operations; balance accounts as needed.
• Interact courteously with the public and school staff; maintain confidentiality.
