Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of school nutrition experience, or an advanced degree in Food/Nutrition, or equivalent management experience.
• Certification through the School Nutrition Association expected within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, cooks and serves foods according to the menu.
• Trains and rotates through the full range of food services.
• Operates dishwasher, mixer, chopper, slicer, steamers, ovens and other equipment; maintains sanitation.
• Assists in estimating and ordering food supplies and stocking.
• Serves as cashier as needed.
• Trains in various management functions and reports and assists the manager and assistant manager with those functions.
• Performs other duties as required.
