Job summary

New Village Academy is seeking a Manager: School Nutrition Level 1 to oversee elementary school meals and operations in Parole, MD. The role includes supervising nutrition staff, coordinating food prep, service, and cashiering, and maintaining sanitation per federal and state standards.

Flexible hours and OT may be required. The position requires leadership, food safety knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Six (6) months food service experience with demonstrated “back-up” managerial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to USDA guidelines and AACPS policies for school meal programs.
• Directs staff, plans work schedules, and monitors performance.
• Orders, transports, and maintains food and supplies; ensures sanitation and safety standards.
