Osseo Area Schools - District 279 Maple Grove Middle School in Minnesota is seeking a School Nutrition Manager to assist the Nutrition Manager with planning, preparation, and service of daily meals. You will help plan menus, order supplies, schedule staff, and ensure safety and compliance with USDA and HACCP standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to mentor staff while maintaining accurate records within a busy school kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Child Nutrition Certificate (Level I) preferred.
• Ability to work with people of all ages.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and Excel.
• Good attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Ability to lead and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nutrition Manager with planning, preparing and serving daily meals.
• Assist in menu planning to meet USDA nutritional requirements.
• Forecast quantities and order supplies from multiple vendors.
• Schedule staff efficiently within budget and ensure cross-training.
• Maintain safety by HACCP and temperature logs.
• Train staff on standardized recipes and food safety.
• Lead a positive, collaborative kitchen environment.
