Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a School Nutrition Program Lead to support daily cafeteria operations and staff supervision. You will train staff, ensure compliance with USDA regulations, and uphold food safety standards while interacting with students and staff.

Responsibilities include processing weekly orders, forecasting production needs, and reading standardized recipes. Must convey strong customer service and be prepared to act as manager in the manager's absence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a current ServSafe certification.
• Must obtain an SNA Level 1 Certificate within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret standardized recipes.

Responsibilities

• Supports the SNS Manager in daily cafeteria operations.
• Supervise food service staff and train to perform food service tasks.
• Learn and follow USDA regulations governing programs.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
• Place orders weekly and forecast production needs.
• Read and follow standardized recipes and check deliveries.
• Act as manager in the manager’s absence and handle cashiering.
