Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• WA State Health Food Worker's Card is required or obtainable.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic, operate kitchen equipment, adjust recipes, and use standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, serving, storage and disposal of food while maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Prepare food to meet nutritional requirements and projected meal counts.
• Cook and bake foods as needed to meet menu requirements.
• Open cans, portion contents, wash and prep vegetables for cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas and report equipment issues.
• Work with students and staff, possibly leading volunteers.
