Job summary

Pasco School District No. 1 is seeking a Nutrition Services Substitute to assist with food preparation, serving in cafeterias, and maintaining sanitation across Pasco’s school facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid Washington Food Worker’s Card, and strong English communication skills; prior K-12 food service experience is a plus. Hours are on-call and vary by district need, with open posting until filled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid Washington State Department of Health Food Worker's Card, required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English, required.
• Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of food; clean up dining and kitchen areas.
• Serve food in cafeteria line.
• May relieve or assist other employees in higher-level food preparation tasks to meet emergency or on-the-job situations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots and pans; operate dishwasher.
• Practice all sanitation and health regulations.
